New to the board

Sun Dec 09, 2007 3:07 pm

Hey everyone just wanted to introduce myself since I am new to board. My name is Adam and I live in south Birmingham, Al (Hoover), and have been studying and hunting for sirens now for more than 15 years. I am so glad i live in a town that is covered in good mechanical sirens(Fed T-bolts, 2001's, 3t22, T-beams and a few electronic Modulators. The mix of those sound awesome when they go off! I will be taking many pictures and videos in the near future.

One question I have is, does anybody have a video of the new T-135 AC/DC(T-132), or where to go video one?

Thanks

Justin

Welcome!

As for the T-135AC/DC (the oversize T-128, right?)...
I haven't seen a video pop up, but videos are regularly being discovered so it mightn't be long before one pops up somewhere.

Welcome to the board, and believe me, I'd like to see one of those too. Although it's a shame that that's what the incredible T-135 has become...just a bigger T-128...

The modulator is on 119 which is the Cahaba Valley exit(which is in Shelby county, jefferson county border) it is behind Chik-fil-a. As far as the 3T22 it is on hwy 31 north and interstate 65 junction. It is behind a Auto parts store in a strip mall, across the street from Holiday Inn.

Question for the Alabama members on the board, since i am fairley new to Birmingham, I heard my first test this week and heard a T-bolt right outside my apartment. I was wondering if anyone knew where that siren is? I live in Hoover by Valleydale Rd and Hwy 31(by Pelham).

There is a thunderbeam up the street if im not mistaken. It's behind the home accents in pelham. There is a 2001 up the road by a school not sure of the name. I havn't seen any thunderbolts in the area, but i could be wrong.

Ya i have seen the ones you are talking about, there is one 2001 in Riverchase right next Regions bank operations center too, but i hear a T-bolt in the area very very close to me and i am determined to find it. When they test the sirens here they do them in slow wail and you could hear that blower revving up and down.
