My new AR

Sun Mar 16, 2008 2:09 am

My AR timer got here today, and boy is it beautiful! The date on the inside is December 1976. I did not know this, but the door lock is spring loaded. The thing just amazes me, and I am going to test it on Monday at TEC. I have been thinking about hooking it up to my Sears siren, like that one guy with his Model A.

Any tips on how to hook my siren to it would be great! I do have a wiring diagram, but I am pretty schematic stupid right now.

Nice find! Looks like the previous owner could not find a neon indicator of the right size, so he plugged the hole with a bolt and drilled another hole for the smaller light. If you want an original red or amber light, go to Ebay stores, search for "pilot light," and you'll find many of them exactly like the old ones.

I don't know, I could just leave it as-is. The reason being is so that it is different from other ARs in a way.

Okay, so power (120) goes to 8 and 9, but 220 goes to 7 and 9?

I figured it out. I have 120 on # 8 and 9. The timer works, but only about 3 Volts are getting to the #1 and 2 terminals.
