That is the one I was thinking of. It is one of those huge, dual-tone Federal mystery sirens that was recently discussed on the board. The housing looks like a double Model 5. It has a 9/12 ratio and sounds like an SD-10.

Wow, looks sturdy! Cast iron right? Almost looks like a giant municipal water supply valve.

Looks rebuildable in that picture.

Did you haul it home?

How can one be so neglectful as to manage to allow a siren to fall?

Any knowledge on how this happened?
Thank you.

So that's what the inside of the "supersized Fedelcode" I found in Hazleton looks like. Despite the broken parts, it appears to be in fair condition, possibly better than the one I found, which is virtually rotting away from rust (On the outside, at least):

Looks like half the lower stator is broken off. It would be weldable, but a nasty job.

What a stubby-looking motor that siren has! Anyway, the stator pictured at the bottom looks in a fair condition; the flange on it is broken. Anyway, if what is just pictured is what is inside one of those huge Fedelcode sirens, I'm rather surprised at its small size.

Actually if you look closely half the stator is missing!
