Greeneville TN sirens

We Just finished our move this past weekend.. Greene county is in northeast TN and has a system of these sirens thru out the county.. What kind is it??

That's a Sterling 2v8, if I remember right.

It is indeed a Sterling 2V8... you should go back and make them pull that Hazmat truck out for some pictures... it looks like a Freightliner/LDV... they make nice pictures!! :lol:

I just may do that.. they have some real nice looking fire equipment.. this county is full of Sterling 2v8's That are used for storms.. they dont have any specific test day, so.. I will have to wait and see until the next storm comes thru too hear it.

Get them to establish Noon the first Saturday as the test day. That way you may not be at work and may be able to observe/record it.
Because of work, I have missed many Denver tests at 11 a.m. the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Yesterday when I operated the 2t22, our entire new fire academy was forced to hear it! Also marked break for lunch.

I also found 2 sd-10's today by mistake!! Here is one of them.. I could not get a pic of the 2nd one.. I dont know my way around good enough to get close enough to it..
