One definitely sounds like a Carter or s.th. of similar style.

The only mechanical sirens I saw in New Zealand were that type, and were probably made by Gents, Klaxon, Kheraj, or Grifco. I don't know what the other one was, but it probably had ten ports. Notice the red rotating light next to the siren that goes out when the siren shuts off.
