As promised, I headed out to the Modulator at the 4H Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds this morning to get one of TEMA's very few (1 of 3) Modulators. I got there about 1 minute before zero-time, so I was rushing a little bit to get the camera adjusted how I wanted. I usually leave the windows rolled up when I make recordings, and wasn't aware that we used soft-start on our Mods, so I rolled the windows down all the way, which you hear my adjusting as the siren starts. The soft start is worth seeing though. It is a series of short full volume chirps, then a very soft starting dual tone windup that abruptly screams out to full output volume. [Beep "Oh hello, I'm about to make lots of noise, thank you."] I didn't find this siren terribly loud, but it was loud enough to echo decently though.
Here is the squashed YouTube version. I will go ahead and upload the uncut version with my having a fit with the camera. Some nice views of a gift a bird left me too.
