Sounds like they put a different head on the closest 1003. It's lower pitched, and it no longer has a slow wind-down.

Nope. It winds down a lot faster than it used to. It sounds like it's on chopper level 1, which is probably what it was on before.

They channged the blower on the siren about 3 weeks ago. They were problems with the other one.

That comes very close to solving the mystery of what causes some Thunderbolts to have slow wind-downs. I knew it had something to do with the blower, but I had no idea that it directly had to do with it. I thought it may have been the relief valve or something. Is there any way that you can get detailed pics and/or information on how the blower, stand pipe, and relief valves are set up on those two TBolts? If the other one still has the slow wind-down, we may be able to nail this mystery once and for all. Of course, since I'm totally blind, someone would need to describe the pics for me. There has to be a difference in the way those two identical TBolts are set up.
