Federal Signal said their serial number on the 2t22 is of no value in determining the date of manufacture.
Can their modern Fs on the siren be a clue?
Apparently there was a CD (/\) in a 3? inch circle above the exisiting logo.
Thank you.
I'll have to go out and read it from the siren.soccerdude7330 wrote:What is the last two digits of the serial number on your 2t22?
No not exactly. I have a model 2 from the 40's that has a date code and it's a federal electric siren. I've also seen federal signal sirens that do not have the date codes listed in the serial number.soccerdude7330 wrote:Oh yes, I see the logo. Your 2t22 was most likely made in the early 80's or so. I'll know an exact date form that serial number though.
My 2T's last two digits are "83", meaning it was manufactured in 1983. However, the pre-FSC sirens didn't have the date code in the serial number, I don't know why though..kinda odd.
By the look and wear of your logo, like I said, it's most likely an early 80's siren.Robert Gift wrote:When did they start using the modern Fs logo?
If Federal Signals say the serial number is useless, is this the only clue I can find?
