Any sirens in Gwinnett County

Sat Jul 23, 2011 10:41 pm

Are there any sirens in Gwinnett county, GA? The only two i know of are a Fin-Back whelen in Duluth, And a Modulator in Flowery Branch. any others? Be sure to reply if you know.

EDIT: The reason i need the locations is because I'm gonna go on a siren hunt soon, so i need as many locations as possible

In Duluth, there is a fin backed Vortex is at the entrance of the Southeastern Railway Museum and another one at Abbots Bridge Road intersection, I believe. There's also one on Peachtree Industrial in front of a residential neighborhood. If you keep going like you are going towards Doraville, away from Duluth, on the left hand side of the highway I remember seeing a few Whelen 2800 stacks.

It's been years since I've driven down through there and the only one I know to give the location of is the SE Railway Museum.

EDIT: I'm actually fairly certain that the Whelen stacks I saw were towards the Suwanee area.

Where on Abbotts Bridge Rd?

Also, according to one article I found online, unincorporated Gwinnett does not have any sirens (as of December, 2010): http://www.ajc.com/news/gwinnett/buford ... 62932.html
