I also love 9/12 port sirens. I like the sound much better than 10/12 port sirens. 8/12 is my second favorite, 8/10 my third

The 1000T and 1003, any pitch. All are a prime example of something you do not want to hear at night in attack mode.

I've always thought this recording of a Chrysler 5 miles away was pretty spooky sounding..

A P-50 during a storm always gives me the chills. I would swear that I heard one of them in Memphis when the tornado hit Wolfchase Mall back in 2001. I was one of the first to see the damage minutes after it happened.. but that's a whole 'nother story.

I live in Ballston Spa, New York and we rarely get tornadoes. We have 2 sirens downtown, one of them decommissioned (which I am trying to get a hold of) and one of them used for firecalls. I know the one on top of the fire station is a Model 5, but the one on top of the police station a mile away is more corroded and older so it could be either a Model 5 or a Model 7T. Back on subject, I don't know if the Model 5 is used for tornadoes, but it doesn't sound very creepy at all. Any single tone 12 port siren is my least favorite, like the 2001 or the STH-10.
