If you get it I would keep it the way it is this is the only actual black striped thunderbot I've ever seen.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but please, don't do that. I would hate to have to say goodbye to another rare jailbar tbolt.

Yes l'll repaint it but keep it the same colors

That is not what I'm saying you should leave it original because this is really rare. Let's say this siren is an ACA Hurricane 130 would you modeifi it to have solinoids or paint it yellow or keep it original?

IF you get it, keep it a 1000 like it is and leave the paint alone. I'd just do a restoration on the chopper motor and rotator mechanisms and leave the rest the way it is.

Making it into a genuine 1003 would be too troublesome. You'd need to make the bow tie solenoid housing, collector rings, a taller rotator housing and a taller pipe on the inside of the rotator to make room to accommodate the collector rings and terminals to deliver power to the solenoids, and even a slightly longer horn support since the solenoid housing would move the horn out a few inches. Then you'd need to find the solenoids and a dual-tone rotor.

I hate to burst your bubble along with everyone else, but yeah please don't do that. You have a chance to get something extremely rare and sought after, keep it as is! Besides if you messed something up or ran outof money halfway through the project you'd be left with a mostly use-less siren.
