I highly doubt that is a Toshiba siren. Only one model is known, and that is a compressor driven one that looks like a array of Thunderbolt horns.

Here is a Toshiba: Image

I find it interesting that there's a bunch of Japanese people out there just like us posting siren videos and whatnot, even if they're all electric and only playing little tunes.

The red siren is a Toshiba siren. That siren at San Onofre was built by an engineer there whose name wasn't Toshiba.

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand your statement. How did it get the Toshiba name? If it had no connection with the company, how did it get the name?

People on this board call that a Toshiba siren, but I don't understand the connection.

This is a 1950's Toshiba compressor siren in operation.

Here is a non-compressor Toshiba siren.

The compressor one has a freaky sounding wind-up.

That one with the compressor has a very interesting design. I kind of wanna take it apart see how it works.
