Daniel and Pugetsoundstoemwatch why don't you guys go after some of these old decommissioned sirens? The ones in Longview need a good home.

I'm sorry, but I don't have the time, budget, or space to obtain a siren. Though I will hopefully obtain one someday.

Time/budget I totally get. As for space there is a model 2 and they are actually pretty small and lightweight. (The projector horn to the thunderbolt is heavier than these cute little guys.) Not trying to change your mind just food for thought.

Atop the camp meriweather dining hall in Oregon, there is an aray of 4 federal selectones that are controlled by an ultravoice. They sound wail for tsunami's and HI/LO for fires.

There used to be just a Model L there. I've camped there many times.

Honestly, what am I going to do with a full sized air raid siren? I can't set it off in public and I don't have access to the electrical connections necessary to operate one. If I can't physically pick it up or run it off 120 volts, I don't need it.

I agree with the weight part... I took the horn off my thunderbolt and I can lift that but the rotator and chopper is so heavy I always need a second person to help me lift. Just so you know though the chopper even on a 1000A is just run off a basic "Hot, neutral and ground" so 120V can usually do it. Plus without it's blower it isn't all that loud... Not trying to change your mind like I said, just also like I said food for thought. Oh and last thought I would like to share... I am using mine in a virtual museum. It's full blast will be done in Lincoln city along with their sirens.
