Personal Thunderbolts ( *especially* 1003's)

Sat May 12, 2007 12:35 am

Who has a Thunderbolt in their personal collection? List it here and what type if you do (1000, 1000T, 1003, or just the head). I'm especially interested if anyone has Thunderbolt 1003 in their collection. List whoever you know even if they aren't you or don't know 'em.

EDIT: Please keep posts on topic...posts about "I'm getting one one day" is irrelevant.

OK, here's who I can think of off the top of my head. Please correct me if I'm wrong (or misspell your name)!

Here's the list so far:

Thunderbolt 1003's:
__________________________________________
Me (converting)
Adam Pollak (only one with a truly complete 1003)
Adam Smith (head only)

Thunderbolt 1000T's (dual tone 6/5 rotor):
__________________________________________

Matt Hackler
Mike Fuoco (http://hornandwhistle.net/forsale.htm)

Thunderbolt 1000T ( dual tone 5/4 rotor):
__________________________________________

"Charles" (kx250rider)

Thunderbolt 1000 (single tone):
___________________________________________

"Eric" (CDV777-1) (several)
Ross Aten
Dan (3t22) (head only)
"Charles" (kx250rider)
Ed Wise (Sirens-for-Cities) (Various single tone early 80's models)
Me (its mainly being used for parts though, but I plan to restore that one to)
Chase Frost (I believe he sold his off a while ago)
James (SKYWARN) (head only, acquired from Eric)
Guy from Florida who removed his own 1000 (http://www.wpla.net/siren/)
(Nelso90)

Unknown Thunderbolt Model(s):
___________________________________________

"Joe" (Archon)
Ben Shinn (none as of now)

Not here, just a 1000, but if anyone's willing to trade...

You have a 1000? Heh, lot more people have T-bolts than I thought. Tell me what type and I'll add ya to the list.

I have the head of a single toned 1000. The same one that I hauled from western PA to here in my old Plymouth Neon Image

also I think Charles (kx250rider) also has a single toned 1000 as well as the 5/4 1000T

Thanks. Also, I've updated the list with a few more. Let me know names if you can remember them.

Ben Shinn used to have a Tbolt, but he got out of sirens after 9/11.

Did he used to service them?

Service and parts. He had a catalogue of Tbolt parts, but he got rid of them, sold to someone else (I don't remember who).

There is at least one person in Wichita who owns Thunderbolts, but I haven't seen him in a long time. He donated a single-tone one to the county and it is sitting behind the Grove Campus of Wichita Area Technical College. He gets to do his own maintenance and adjustments to it.
