Yeah. That sure was worth 40 bucks. I've lost all faith in government, again.
Down to a Thunderbolt chopper, still a few goofy flashlight-siren combos, and a Model L.

Sucks to see those Federals/Banshee's looted like that! They would have mad a great system.

Great way to keep the community in danger!!!! That is terrible that they have to keep waiting for such a reliable system.
In my opinion, I think there way too many 2001's in Indiana!

Some people just don't have any sense. Who thought that was a good idea.
My knowledge excels on the Federal Thunderbolt siren and SiraTone EOWS sirens. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I recognize the Thunderbolt, 2T22, and Banshees from Del City (now an ATI system). Sucks that this is what our world has become.

There is a song tittle that comes to mind when I watch this. It's called ridiculous.

I'd make the former mayor pay for all of the costs to repair the sirens! Putting your town in danger for some quick cash is ridiculous!

Well that answers where the old Del City sirens went. They've had their new system installed since at least 2013 so those sirens have been there for awhile. Luther has a P-15 and Model 5T already.

$30k is a real stretch for the damages though. Unless they had opened up every siren and meticulously taken all of the copper out of every electrical component, the replacement wiring couldn't me more than a couple thousand.

Sine I was able to find these on Google maps, they are not fenced in at all, right next to a main road and completely vulnerable. I also count 5 siren heads and the Thunderbolt has no blower. This could have been prevented very easily.

This type of stuff happens way more often than people think. I worked in a place that an employee isolated and removed over 300 feet of copper pipe from a tunnel over a couple months period. He was finally caught and fired. He was brought up on criminal charges, but I don't know the outcome of that as I do not work there anymore. I worked in another place that contractors were attempting to steal copper during a demolition job. Large chilled water coils from air handlers, bus bars from 13,000 volt switch gear, you name it. There was a specific clause in their contract that anything salvageable stays with us. A few years ago there were guys in Chicago wearing safety vests who would unhook street lights during the day, then come back and steal the wire at night. This stuff goes on all the time. Usually by people who know exactly how and when to do it.
