Federal Signal, I love their Modulator Series, but then comes Whelen, with their WPS4004.

Sincerely yours,

Simplex Grinnell, as far as I know, doesn't make sirens. They had developed an instrument that measures the intelligibility of their speakers used for fire alarm systems. That instrument was used by Simplex Grinnell to measure the voice feature of various mass notification systems including electronic sirens. Most sirens like Whelens and the Federal Signal Modulator gave a reading of 40% inteligibility but the i-Force gave an 80% intelligibility reading. I'm not exactly sure how that instrument works though.

"Electronic" and "best" are two words that do not fit together in the siren industry.

Whelen all the way!

And the modulator earned a spot in my favorite list too
Leaving Forever. I blew it big time.

They do alert for tests and wail for tornado warnings. I'm actually not sure how long they've done it because I rarely hear them.

Personally, I like the federal modulator series, those things are the coolest looking siren I've ever seen.
I can't hear you! *air raid siren sounding* Ok I can hear you now.
