That was one messed up warning signal. That's for sure. Sounds like something you'd hear during a nightmarish dream featuring a high-low signal off in the distance for suspense.

I think we've seen the Thunderbolt horn spin faster too. I remember a video of a white thunderbolt on a low roof that, I wanna say, spun faster. Though I'm not too sure.

There's a YouTube of a Tbolt in Cincinatti also going about 8-10 rpm.

Those solenoid controls are REALLY messed up!

That 1003 sounds like it got struck by lightning and had fallen over.

A normal 1003 would go

dee-doh-dee-doh-dee-doh-dee-doh-dee-doh

But this one goes

deeee-doooooh-deee-buuuur-dooh-dooh-dee-dooooh-buuuuuur-dee-dee-
dooooh

*kicks the box*

Yay! It works! but my foot hurts

He said it was running off of a generator and that it wasnt getting enough power, could that be the reason why the Hi-Lo isn't right?

If it wasn't getting enough current, the whole thing wouldn't work I'd imagine...

Maybe the controls have had their day in court. That needs to be fixed, and soon.

I loved the video!
The timing on that Thunderbolt is really messed-up, though you can't disagree that it sounds creepy.

Wow...weird!

Looks like the timing cams for the hi-lo signal and the attack signal in the the AF timer are way off center. They are supposed to "snap" in position together as the cam wheel in the AF has a bit of play.

As far as the hi-lo, someone has that set on slow on the RCM 3, and the rotator RPMs fast, to 8.

Its weird, because the hi-lo is so slow, when the siren is winding down in hi-lo (not supposed to do that in the first place) groin from the "lo" to the "hi" signal sounds like the same time because the siren has slowed down enough at this point.

A few minuted of tinkering with this siren would make it sound beautiful...btw, I love that color orange!

EDIT: I see the newer gray box between the RCM's. looks like one of Federal's new controllers. If so, either the solenoid and chopper output need to be synched or that controller programmed differently.
