Minneola, KS Sterling M-10 & 2t22 in Attack

Wed May 25, 2016 8:24 am

Storm chasers were driving thru Minneola and got some good siren footage. Minneola has a Sterling M-10 ontop of a building in downtown and a 2t22 on the south side of town.

Aren't the sirens supposed to sound the Alert signal during tornado warnings?

I believe different municipalities are allowed to choose their own signals if they wish.
Whatever you do, don't push that big red button🔴!!!

You can do what you want with your own siren. So yes, if the municipality owns a siren, they can chose what ever signal they want, they could even have the sirens go off for severe T-storm warning.
