At 36:54, the allertor shown appears to be 8/12 port. The low tone side had too many spaces to be 9/12...

That hurricane is the one behind the FS at 81st and Bradley. I cross referenced the 1979-1980 footage with one of ramfett's videos of the :hurricane: , and both matched up exactly to my eyes. Even the power lines, house behind the siren, everything.
That is correct that is the location of the pole mounted hurricane the roof mounted one was located at Riverview school in Glendale it has since been removed and replaced by a P-15 the white looking Allertor being radio tested was located at an elementary school in Mequon and was replaced in 2014 by a T-135 AC/DC.

I'm not sure what the second rotor is for shown at 37:20, but that is definitely 8/12. The rotor shown right before it in 9/12. I also agree with Zarlog, the Allertor looks to be 8/12.

I'm pretty sure that strange 8/12 rotor was matched to the 40 or 50hp motor.

Yes it was that strange 8/12 rotor was used in the cyclones and then later the P-50 this film was made just before the P-50 was introduced that was why they were marketing the hurricane so much as a good 130 decibel siren.

I'm not certain, but I BELIEVE the Allertor at 31:37 was the one that was by Organ Piper Pizza in Greenfield. It may also be the blue-ish one in Whitefish Bay. I cannot tell if the siren is that blue-ish or white colour from the tape.

The rotor at 37:20 looks like a P-50 or Cyclone 120 rotor. When was all of this recorded?
The 8/12 allertors must be what was being installed in the video. But I hear that they were discontinued in 1970. Perhaps they were available as special order for a while?

The Allertor at 36:54 is your run-of-the-mill 9/12 port model. The Allertors that were installed in the Washington DC metro area were all the later model sirens with the longer intake cone. The only port ratios the later models had were 9/12 and 8 port. The footage of the short cone Allertors being installed must have been a few years before this video was put together.

As a fan of ACA sirens this is video gold for me & being so far away from the action when it comes to outdoor warning sirens this is most special to me.

It is nice to see my favourite siren the Allertor up close & see how large it is next to the people who installed them & when one was put into the wind tunnel.

I enjoyed seeing those & the Cyclones, Banshees & Hurricane.

I also liked seeing how big a Cyclone is to. It is bigger than I imagined when I saw one on the ground.

I found the 12/8 port rotor design most interesting at 37:19 If I not mistaken it looks very similar to the rotor used in the P50.

It is awesome to see these sirens when they were new in their heyday.

That is a Cyclone rotor. It looks exactly like whats in a P-50, which is a Cyclone that rotates. Also interesting to see that it really isn't that big.
Down to a Thunderbolt chopper, still a few goofy flashlight-siren combos, and a Model L.
