After a failed attempt last month, I was able to record this siren! The didn't test last month due to having issues with the siren system at the time. However, they've since fixed them and the siren runs like a champ! And with this video, I've recorded every mechanical siren in Lauderdale County, AL!

This siren is located at the Town Hall in Killen, AL and is part of the Lauderdale County, AL siren system, even though I had thought it was a fire siren or something for a long time due to the two Whelen Vortexes located on the opposite ends of the town. The two Whelen Vortexes at the opposite ends of Killen (one next to the high school on the far eastern side of the town and the other near the US 72/US 43 intersection on the western side of the town) can also be heard going off throughout the test. There was also quite a bit of an echo of the siren from where I was set-up. Would be rather cool to hear this thing go off in Attack!

Lauderdale County, AL tests on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at noon, weather permitting.

Sounds a bit like an RM- 130.
