Welcome To The Siren Board! I am a siren enthusiast that lives in Maryville, IL. Our town's siren system is composed of 2 Whelen Vortexes. One of them has an ESC-2020 560Hz Electronic Controler. The other one, that I live the closest to, has an ESC-864 Digital Controler. The Whelen Vortex that I live near to, many years ago, it had a finback installed on it, but then for some reason that is still unknown to this day, they removed the fin. I still dont know why, but they just did for some reason. :| Lol.
That is ironic. In Mansfield we only have 2 Whelens. I don't know if the Whelens are Vortex or 4004. Before the Whelens my dad told me about the old siren. He was a young kid and he saw it for the first time in the 60's. He said there was an old water tower and on top of it was an old Fedelcode. I am unsure of the model. I don't know what happened to it. It was replaced and removed before I was born. :(

I forgot to mention, on the old fire station, there is an inactive model 3 mounted on the front of the building. but recently, they repainted it after not touching it for 15 years, which was weird.

My dad spent his childhood there, and now my grandparents live there. In Wilmette, there is a chocolate colored Thunderbolt on top of the village hall
