Grimsby, UK's flood siren

Just recently been to Grimsby which has a net work of 18 sirens along with sirens in nearby Cleethorpes to warn of flooding from the River Humber, the new Cut Drain and the River Freshney, they were installed in 2007 and are German built Hörmann ECN-3000s (I think!) The one I chose to record was on top of Freshney Place Shopping Centre Car Park. I do not have professional equipment I was recording this using my phone. Here are some photos of the siren in question.

Nice catch! The spelling for the manufacturer is Hormann, (the "o" is meant to have an Umlaut on it, which is basically 2 dits on top of the letter)

Nice catch! AFAIK this one is the first ECN known in UK!

Don't worry I think you'll find others! And thanks for the correction, I have so special function key combinations to hand so I find it kind of hard to do those letters.

Just curious: do you have the other locations of the ECNs? I'm going to write a post about them in the German siren forum (IG-WaSi)...

Aha oops yeah Hörmann, there is a network of 18 sirens in Grimsby and nearby Cleethorpes, most of them are ECN some of em have bizarre designs to the siren head. Like this one which I think is near Littlecoats (?)

Not going to lie, those look strange. The birds seem to like them though! Cleethorpes is quite near to a relative of mine, pretty sure I've been through a couple of times. Next time I'll be sure to see if I can spot some, doubt it will be that hard, especially with these wacky mounting schemes!

Really, this is really weird for me to see those unique mounting schemes, especially as a German that is used to the normal schemes :D
I hope you can find more of them, I am looking forward to see more of them. I am curious what kind of mountings they have...

That looks like it could be a former HMLS (High Mast Lighting System).

The Flood Sirens are located in the following locations in Grimsby and Cleethorpes;

Blundell Park FC (Grimsby)
Freshney Place Shopping Centre (Grimsby)
Nelson House (Grimsby)
People's Park (Grimsby)
Grant Thorold Park (Grimsby)
Sidney Park (Cleethorpes)
Allotments adjacent to Kelham Road and Algernon Road (Cleethorpes)
Willows Academy (Grimsby)
Littlecoates Primary School (Grimsby)
South Parade Junior School (Grimsby)
Waterworks Cottage Lane (Grimsby)

Reynolds Primary School (Cleethorpes)
Old Clee Junior School (Cleethorpes)
Cromwell Road (Cleethorpes)

Grimsby and Cleethorpes are the only towns in the UK to my knowledge have these Hörmanns most other places with flood sirens are usually Carters and Castle Castings with the odd Klaxon for Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire.
