That looks like an old ACA or Soundmaster mounting bracket!

Actually it's niether an ACA or Soundmaster bracket, those are completely different. This is actually an old Sentry bracket.

What is the function of that fin on the back of the siren? This is the first time I've seen that!

I presume it equalizes wind load on both sides of the rotation axle.
Perhaps high winds could produce enough moment-arm torque to damage the rotator mechanism.

I thought it was for if the rotator goes out, that can be used as a back-up. :roll:

Wow it would suck for the birds if it went off, I wonder if they would go deaf and why they like to perch and poop on sirens :lol: .

Whats that wire wrapped around the pole below the control box for? Antenna?

It looks like it originally had a crappy service drop from another pole, it got upgraded to underground conduit, (left of the box with the padlock) and they left the old wiring on it. If you look up the pole near the "weatherhead", you see the wires come back down the pole .
