Restoring an EA Laboratories 6v Vehicle Siren

After doing some shopping at a thrift store in Macon, MO I recently got my hands on an EA Laboratories 6v Vehicular siren. The siren is in very poor condition unfortunately and I'm not sure if it works or not, being completely rusted out. The rotor spins freely still so I have decided to start restoring the unit and am looking for advice on where to start.

Do you have pictures of the unit?

Don't have any pictures of the siren that I can upload to the board without error, however I have made some good progress in restoring the siren. I've got it all disassembled with the parts treated with rust remover and in the process of being completely sanded and repainted. As far as I can tell the motor is in working order, and I managed to disassemble the siren with only two screws being shredded. Once this snow storm passes I'll be able to repaint the siren fully and get it back together.
