As mentioned in the Somerset PA pic topic I had found 3 recordings made by my good buddy Steelman Hiles. While scrolling through both sites I found more oldies, some probably haven't been heard in years. These files are in both wav and MP3 format and were recording using tape recorders so some imprefections, blips, ect maybe present. Here they are
The infamous "bolts&m10" featuring Somerset's 2 1003s and old M-10 sounding for a fire call at 2am. recorded by Steelman

The 1st recording us "old timers" myself included heard of an Allertor. There was also an alert recording to go with this one, but I lost it a few years ago

Another Steelman Hiles recording. The 2T that was on the Milleville rescue squad sounding for a call. the 2T was taken down a few years back and given to 2 EMTs (one took the housing one took the siren itself) You can hear the activation tone right before the siren starts.

Another recording from Steelman. Millville VFd's former 3 phase Model 7 sounding for a fire call. It starts in the rescue squad, which is why you hear the talking in the beginning.

I have no idea who recorded this, but I present, the 1st Thunderbolt recording we ever heard. Note the wind/thunder in the beginning, and you can clearly hear the "A" series blower rumbling.

Again I have no clue who recorded it, but this is the 1st good 1003 recording we ever heard. There was also at the time one with an inoperitive low tone solenoid that was recorded up close, and a very high toned one recorded from a tornado video in Spearmen Tx, but this was the best. This was the last time this 1003 ever sounded hi-lo as it was being retired as a fire siren and was going to be solely used as a storm siren.

Some of you may have heard this. This is the 1st 3T22 hi-lo recording we ever heard. Located in Northport LI, NY. Sounding for a noon test. Recorded by Brett Jones. Still in service, but hi-lo is no longer used last I knew. This hooked me on the 3T22.

Another one some of you may have heard before. the 1st recording of a 3T22 doing rise hi-lo, for a fire call
http://www.angelfire.com/weird2/warning ... ecycle.wav
Another one some of you may have heard. Northpost LI, NY's 2 HP Screamer. you may want to turn down your volume as this recording's loud. Also note the motor capacitor start re-engaging speeding up the wind down. again recorded by Brett Jones

another one of my favorites. again from Northport. the 3T22 and a 12 port 5 sounding for a fire call from Brett's backyard. Normally there'd be 2 Gamewell Diaphones blasting away, drowning out the sirens, but there was roof work on the FD so they were turned off.

Yet another fire call from Brett's backyard, but this time the 5 stands out more.
http://www.angelfire.com/ia3/thunderbol ... 3t22fc.wav
The 12 port 5 heard in the last recording doing a noon test.

and finally another Brett Jones recording. A Sterling Little Giant doing a 2 cycled noon test. This sirne is underpowered, and you can also hear Centerport LI, NY's 8 port 5 also doing a 2 cycle test as well.

I've got that CD that I'll dig up to see if I have anymore oldies. I know the final siren contest recordings are on this CD.
If these recordings don't work let me know.
Enjoy
