Does Tucson still use sirens? I couldn't find any of these that are on The Siren Archive.

Why does Tuscon have sirens?
Flash flood warnings?
Are the sirens near flood plains/basins?

It seems to me if I can't find these on Google or MSN maps, they're probably just old civil defense sirens.

I think these were removed. There was some user here and on YT that found a pile of these somewhere in AZ and he was lucky enough to come across a Thunderbolt 1000 (for free!! ). He said that there were a bunch of 1000's and some SD-10's..and they were on the same poles as those in the pictures.

I believe that is a "First gen" SD-10, which did not have the bands. I remember seeing one in a Federal catalog from the 50's that did not have the band.
