DIY-EOWSiren March Test (with Alert & March-Time

Tue Mar 10, 2009 5:32 am

In this video I activate Alert and March tones. March tone would be used as a fire-alarm, while alert is reserved for Tornadoes and other severe weather. This siren is on a vintage transistor based 10-watt amp, thus the tweaker-like noises heard occasionally. I did get a video of siren #2, but couldn't get rid of the pesky wind noise. I'll try it again when it's not so bloody windy outside.

PS: How many sirens do you guys know of that do march-time?
Still close enough to a Fed Sig 550AT to drive out on test day: First Friday in May - 7PM!
As of April 15 2010, a certified NWS Skywarn Spotter.
