Doesn't look like there's anything to warn on one half of the coverage area. :?

When I went to Wisconsin right upon entering I saw this P-50. It also appears to be warning not much.

That P-50 looks lonely...it needs more people to warn.

I see that P-50 every November when I go to Milwaukee's Trainfest at the Fairgrounds. Always puzzeled me, as there is another P-50 down thw road the bit.

If you look at the map portion, and not the streetview portion, you'll see that it is warning quite a bit...it's right by the Joliet Arsenal.

That P-50 in Kenosha County was once part of the Zion Nuclear Power Plant warning siren system. The sirens in the system were turned over to their respective towns when the plant shut down.

It just looks strange being placed there because it looks like there's nothing to warn in that conservation area. But you're right, there is plenty to warn due to the Joliet Arsenal. Just hope that there are no car accidents near it that could send vehicles flying into the siren.

Development in the Kenosha area is growing like crazy. I'd bet that before too long there'll be plenty of people for the lonely P-50's along I-94 to warn. That whole stretch between Milwaukee and Chicago will probably be entirely developed and densely populated someday.

I've attended trainfest almost every year since the age of 4! Maybe we should meet up this year.

There's one of those p-15's along I-88 in Downers Grove.
It used to be an Allertor.
