I like the Super Sirex... There is an old one in Toledo. I don't know if it is still active. If it isn't I hope it doesn't get scraped. 8)

My two cents say that the people in the area around it still hear it's roar every First Friday of the Month. I base this off of the fact that Toledo/Lucas County is pretty generous in their siren spacing... usually 1 to 1.5 miles apart... and I am pretty sure the closest siren is about 1 mile away...

Tyler, how many sirens do I own now?

Nice finds. The Super Sirex is a very unique type of siren IMHO. They sound great, too.

There's an HOR like that in Hamilton, Ohio as well (two videos of it on Youtube). We also have at least 8 EOWS sirens around here (3 EOWS*115s, an EOWS*612 and a handful of EOWS*1212s), some Sterlings, and a custom shop-made siren.

There is an HOR Super Sirex in West Newton, MA. It's on top of a fire station (corner of Richardson and Church Streets) right next to I-90/ Mass Pike, right before/after the Sheraton that's built over the highway. It's only a few miles away (sort of) from where I am now. But there's really no way I can get to it. I have family in Newton, but I doubt we'd ever have time to go looking for it.
I left this board in early 2010. I am not a part of the siren community in any sense anymore. I will not provide assistance or information.

Also don't forget the active single toned Super Sirex at The Wherehouse? (it's spelled with the question mark) in Holyoke MA. It's tested every Friday at noon. Still got to take a drive up there and hear that beast in person.
Proud owner of a 2T, 5, M-5, 1000 Head, 7T, 3T22, and a single toned 2

I know there's a 115 in Milford, New Richmond, and Alexandria. Are there any others you know about?

Besides the Fernald Plant, there's also 4 612s in Monroe. I'm not aware of any other 1212s besides the old Fernald ones.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

I look forward to seeing it.
