Could this be a 500AT model?

VERY raspy, Thunderbolt-like rotating sound...has that deep roar...yet the sound of a 2T22.

Yes, it sounds like a 500AT. Here is the same siren in a different video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBMRX6B4aN0

Nice find. Ahh, the familiar chest-rattling roar of the 500AT. I really wish more of these were out there, they are some of the best sounding, and most ominous sirens out there. Saddly, Topeka only has one left, down from 6 just 10 years ago.

If that video is the same like the second one, it was taken in Abeline, Kansas which has a 500AT off of the I-70 exit ramp into Abilene. I also hear a 2001-130 which I seen one just West (I believe) of Abilene.

Definitely a 500-AT. There is a small chance that's a Thunderbolt, but still it ain't no 2T22. It's rotating.

Where exactly is this 500AT because the only siren I know of by I-70 in Abilene is a Sentry 15/20V2T?

I was just in Abilene in this past summer and seen a 500AT north of I70 on Buckeye...according to google maps there is a Sentry there. They might have done some swapping, because there is a siren (Kina looks like a 500AT) not to far from there...

I think that video and the second one was taken from this Hotel...as you can see the DQ sign...and it is real close to the siren.

You sure that's not a P-50?

Idk but if it is...Abeline would have the record for most variety of sirens in Kansas. 500AT and 2001-130 (Federal)...Sentry and if that was a P-50...ASC

Where is that last 500AT located? I will likely be in Topeka next month and I'd hate to pass by it and not know it was there.

Also, when does Topeka test? I seem to remember that someone posted something to the effect that a cloud located somewhere in the western hemisphere is excuse enough for them to cancel.
