Great job with the siren man. If you are going to repaint the siren itself, what color is it going to be?
Rustoleum Regal Red. Closest match to the original paint. Luckily there was some to match under some hidden bolt heads. Most of the paint has been sun baked off

Took all the engine/doghouse sheet metal to my welders shop. He rents out is professional aluminum oxide cabinet for only $50/hr. I was able to also get the stator plate and clutch bellhousing blasted as well. Primer tommorow morning to protect the surfaces. Then hammer and dolly work to get some minor dents, dings, and wrinkles taken care of. Going to avoid using body filler if I can

Well, the chicken coop I'm building in my shop right now makes for an EXCELLENT paint stand. Haha. Got most of the big parts primered. Upon coating I noticed that some parts of the engine shrouding are considerably pitted. This was to be expected. No doubt will have to get some filler/High build primer and sand these areas smooth.

I went ahead and painted the stator backing plate and the clutch bellhousing with Regal Red. Man this is encouraging!

Traded a good running vintage Gilson rototiller to my good friend for his 1150lb Harbor Freight trailer. This will be the Mobil Directo's permanent home. I will be repainting the trailer and then mounting the base to it this week. Will need a bearing repack and new tires, but that will be done at a later date. I will then continue the build upon the trailer! Should work pretty slick

Ok gang, just couldn't wait. Wire brushed and painted the trailer deck. I also was able to completely disassemble the former railings and salvage all the hardware and accessories. I then painted the cleaned deck with flat black brush-on Rustoleum. Give it a couple days to cure and we can throw the MD onto the deck.
