Re: Choices on siren replacements. Any Ideas?

Definitely Federal Signal 508. Best bang-for-the-buck rotational siren out currently, and it will be compatible with the current siren system since it's a Federal. If they've been happy with the 2001, going with a 130 would be another possible option, but with a 508 you will have improved coverage ...

Oh, well in that case they are more likely to be 1000T's, and of the 5/6 port variety than anything.

What? if a Thunderbolt's a 1000T, it's a 1000T.

Re: Choices on siren replacements. Any Ideas?

I'd go with a 508. We've replaced around 6 or 7 of our sirens with them, as well as 1 new install, and they don't disappoint.

Siblings as in what?
Remakes. Are there any others beside the CTI (pretty much a projector of one), the Werden P-127, and the ASC RM-127?
Not that i know of. The RM-127 is the only official one.

Re: Abandoned nuclear power plant with unknown 12 port siren

Where this plant is is what i want to know, and how it still has power. Only reason i would see it would still be powered is to keep the spent fuel pools running cool. And since it's obviously abandoned, i doubt that's the case. Kind of a mystery in and of itself.

So weird looking. Looks like one of those cheap sheet metal decor items you get at Hobby Lobby.
