Very Nice Article. They tell what kind of siren is located where. Interesting how they are restoring the old siren and not adding to the New electronic system.

Thanks for remindsing me about that :) . Time for a road trip to hear an SD-10 in person. I suspect by now those SDs are up and in service.

I think they're getting them from other states. I believe a guy named Adam Biscow (some of you long time followers may remember him back when the board was on Warningsirens.org) restored them as he does maintain sirens around that area of the state as well as restores them for re-sale. (he hasn't surfaced around here in several years).

I sure will. Here's a link that has a pic of one of the 5T and one of the WS 2016s http://www.wolcottct.com/detail.cfm?&sid=21&nid=90. I'll take a ride out there next test day and get some pics and recordings. I'll also e-mail them about the SD-10s to see if they're up yet.

Nice, ! This is a great place...I never saw a public website so proud of their sirens to go as far as pictures and full desriptions... Most places around here want to remove the "annoying" loud sirens... jerkasses!
