So faint, so high pitched, someone needs to beat ATI with some sense. :x

But alas, as 2t22boy said: At least they have a system. :?

Yup.... from 1980-2003 there was no sirens in place. After the tornado that came through town in 1998, the mayor at the time, Phil Bredeson, announced the addition of sirens and ASC was in town, where they revved a T-121 upto full speed and then shut it off. Nashville chose ATI for their sirens, and by 2003, 68 HPSS-16s and 4 HPSS-32s were installed.

What were the old sirens in Nashville?

Thunderbolts. They were disconnected in the 80s, although some of them still stand.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

Here's a video where you can hear the ATIs and later in the video, you can hear Trevecca Nazarene's I-Forces doing their custom signal of a wail, voice, wail, voice and repeating. Their sirens start at 0:43.

And here's Trevecca's siren page to compare it to.

Really lame tone setup, but it gets the job done. I'm sure they would sound awesome if they just let them completely cycle in attack.

Why do they call the tones "ring tones" on their website. These are sirens, not cell phones.

I have no idea but I can hear them saying that. The guy I spoke with that their department had this real thick southern drawl.
