Fri Aug 24, 2007 10:27 pm

Either they are close to an Allertor or it is a SD-10...most likely an allertor eh?

Wow :?
Close to a SD-10 but I think its NOT after repeating it twice.

Guess ACA tried to copy Federal back then ?

Too me it sounds like an SD10 because its not rotating from what I can tell. Otherwise I would say Allertor because of the T-135/P-50 in the background.

EDIT: It sounds like a broken Allertor.

The person who recorded this lives in Plainfield, Illinois, and they have
P-10's and P-50's. So this must be the P-10 going off.

Could be a siren from a surrounding city as well.

It's too loud to have been in the next city.

I'd say not an SD-10. I lived in south central LA at 43rd Place and St. Andrews 'til I was 5 years old, and we were between 2 SD-10s. I say it might be an Allertor with a busted rotator (as so many of them now have  )

Yes, that's a real 500-lb Federal SD-10 I'm holding (braggart!)

i thought is sounded like a p-50/t-135 or a cyclone, but now that i listen more closely it sounds like an SD-10 or allertor
