Thunderbolt 1003 Noon whistle???

found this 1003 doing a high low, its in the slow setting I believe & the low note isn't functioning properly

At first it sounds like the high note won't close properly, but that's just probably the echo, and then the low note gets stuck at some spots. Scary sound, nonetheless. Cool find!

Oh yeah! Speaking of wind-downs, I miss the sound file of that one T-bolt 1003 doing a hi-lo signal with a hi-lo wind-down, which was gone from the ARS sound page, as were the other files.

The last time I ever heard a true noon whistle was back in 2000, and they lasted for only about a minute, every Sunday at the refinery, yet they seemed like an eternity, but this is just crazy!

I live real close to this 1003 (25 miles) And have been wondering if it sill works I even drove all the way up there to here it this past summer and it did not sound. :( but im glad to here it doses work still! :o there is also a sterling M mounted real low just below this siren

That wind down is eerie! It almost makes me wish the solenoid flashers were also hooked up to the time delay on most Thunderbolts. Interesting find indeed.

no, the solenoids aren't working properly- it sounds like they screw up in the same spot, I wonder if the collector rings for the solenoids are degraded.
